necros are pretty bad too hehe, didnt have one until recently - and while i can target through it pretty efficiently, making them non-targetable would be amazing!

Hey, I left class out of it :P What with weapons and other items, almost all classes can have this issue ;)

the term "swarm pets" was used but as an activated AA, it rarely causes problems. This and similar weapon procs are what most people are having problems with:

call of the beastmaster: webtools/spell.php?id=9032

I never meant to single out a particular class in this discussion, but it isnt fair to BST to ask them not to use their class abilities on raids.

No slight at you, Obvious, and again, you hit on a truth :

...it isnt fair to BST to ask them not to use their class abilities on raids.

Which is something that does happen, along with people being asked to put away a weapon.

There is a BIG issue with making swarm pest untargetable... (at least via usage of npc flag)

I approach a raid mob and cast my swarm pet - just one is enough.
now /afk and wait till it kills it
why? cause mob cannot hit the pet, but pet still gaining agro - so mob just stands there looking like an idiot and continue to take damage
I will be able to solo ENTIRE raid content of the server with a single swarm pet

BTW pretty sure official Emu code has recently been update to fix to this, that F8 doesn't target swarm pets

well why not just make it one cat that hits as hard as all of the swarm pets combined? would need increased hp too i am guessing. i dunno about f8 targeting. problem for me is i cycle through targets.
