why is the lower lvl one thats usable by both shm/enc more resist reduction, longer duration and faster casting? shouldnt it be the opposite?

Name : Malosinia
Classes : Shaman (63), Magician (63)

think he ment Magician not Enchanter :-P

also the higher level one has no type of resist listed for the check.

As Mazzic said, it's because Malos is unresistable. It would be OP to make Malos completely unresistable AND make it debuff more than the hard-to-land one. The same is for the lvl 60 version of the spell; it's unresistable but weaker than others.

ahh but malos can be resisted (had 3 resists on the first skullcracker attempt) so it just must be a really hard to resist spell then (chamberlain in icewell also resisted but thats because he was lvl 255)

Something else, magic immune mobs will still resist it too. For example a lot of Icewell mobs were magic immune when the zone was released and the tash aug I had at the time was resisted.

Exactly, as Jerant said it can be resisted if the mob is flagged magic immune. As a matter of fact, that's the only way Malos or Malo can be resisted. Kind of strange though, it doesn't say magic immune on alla clone.

Can you give me the name of the mob that behaves odd? I can check with the DB and maybe we can clear this up.

Generally speaking - yes unresistable Malo is weaker because it's unresistable ;)

Back in the day it was like this:

Tash - unresistable
Malos - unresistable
HOS and then the resistable but stronger malo.

At least on raids. yaya a druid tosses in his/her fire and atk debuff too but you get the point

Skullcracker is the mob, Tyler :P. I don't know, maybe it has something to do with the mobs level? There aren't any as high as him tmk other than when the Chamberlain was 255, and we had the same issue.
