in live it was a polar bear, here its brown bear, yeah i know purely cosmetic ( but perhaps another look could be made at druids wolf forms, shamans bear forms, and rangers wolf form and perhaps add something a little unique to them to spice them up?), ohh maybe for druid wolf form a chance to proc a group overhaste ( low proc rate), shaman maybe a group dps boost? ( like 2-4% melee dps) something unique like that for your battle priests

*Edit* wouldnt hurt to boost necros skelly form mana regen ( doesnt match enc regen and it drains hp)

Something that would actually make a shaman want to use this.

This is not very impressive for several reasons

1 : Effect type : Illusion:Bear = other than looking like a big fat brown bear that just ate his last group.
2 : Effect type : Increase Hitpoints by 2 = is this regen ? I cant even get a group to allow the shamans best regen to hog a buff slot so regen is pointless really unless its really high to be buff slot worthy, honestly from the era this came out i wouldnt put it past just being a solid 2 hp boost.
3 : Effect type : Increase WIS by 10 = Im capped out are you ?

Ok i was just adding some negativity to the spell as it is , and at the same time supporting Sarcon on the idea that it would be nice to see a custom illusion line like this for the supporting classes he mentioned..

Ok, make suggestions to get this spell to the level of being even remotely useful. Currently, that's not quite the case ;)

I like the group DPS boost, but you could also have it proc a group buff which would add a maul-type proc. You are a bear after all, so why not give a bear-style proc?

Bears can also represent brute force though so the 5% DPS boost would also fit. That would give shamans a grand total of a 20% dps boost between panther, might, and bear form proc.

Another option is to give the proc an AC boost/resistance cap. Bears have lots of thick fur to protect them, so the shaman can share the wealth!

For group wolf form, imo a great great addition would be to make it castable indoors. You could also add a swipe or claw type proc, or maybe "Howl" that decreases AC/Avoid?

Can't really think of much else atm, but if you put anything in then it should scale with lvls. Both these spells are available at relatively low levels (well 45+)

i would propose turning shaman bear form more of Combat Form castebale on others.

First rank form

Duration: 1 minute, recast time 3 minutes

Effects:

1: Illusion Bear
2. Increase Melee damage % by 10
3. Increase AC by 50
4. Increase Regeneration by 10

2nd rank form

Duration: 1 minute, recast time 3 minutes

Effects:

1: Illusion Bear
2. Increase Melee damage % by 20
3. Increase AC by 100
4. Increase Regeneration by 20

and so on.

Would be great to get a custom form & buffs for casters. And yes, I have a druid (& a baby shaman) who would be pleased to join the bard to help Loly (wizard) to keep a decent Dps.

Always melees, Do not forget about casters! I will never surrender :)
(And do not tell me I already did because I am French  )

casters forms: easy

mages elemental forms fairly useless: you give them effects like increases mana regen, spell damage focus, spell critical focus etc, based on the form.
Wizards - could turn into drakes for example.

there are gazilion combinations and ideas that could created, but having to deal with existing class balance it could have number of issues. All these new things are much easier to work with when you just building a new server.

Just a random thought, but to take this even further you could do the same for enchanter elemental forms. This would give project illusion an actual purpose rather than just a cosmetic tool. Something to be considered down the line...

Actually it was only a polar bear to the barbarian race, i believe troll iksar and ogre all have a brown bear(maybe troll n ogre was a black bear)

But i believe the type of bear is dependent on the race.

EDIT: Im actually positive the type of bear is dependent on race, i played an iksar shaman for 5years on live....

call me the shaman expert if you will ;)
