Overwhelm issue

When using the Overwhelm disc (monk) the game reports:

Unknown spell effect 196 in spell Overwhelm (id 4622).

I don't know if this is causing the effect to fail altogether but I thought I'd report it anyway.

196 : Strikethrough is not implemented then. I can replace it with something else.

Let me know what you think is appropiate for a lev45 disc.

I guess something that reduces the target's chance to parry/dodge to your attacks (one or both). It's no big deal if it just gets left broken, I use another disc anyway; it was just noted whilst testing all my discs out.

I find it interesting that as old as EQEmu is, there's still a lot of old stuff still not implemented.

Yea if you open the spell editor, there is a drop down for the effect of a slot (each spell has 12 slots). In the drop down there are about 100+ effects. About 75% of those work maybe.

Apologies for bumping a thread over two years old, but I just want to state that this still occurs. The exact error message is the same as the OP's.

Oddly enough, I do get messages stating I've struck through my opponents' defenses, so the strikethrough mechanic itself seems to work. It just seems that the strikethrough buff from Overwhelm doesn't.

This is on the Steam SoD client.

Hope you don't mind this little reminder that this old bug is still kickin' around.
