Form of Defense

I recently got a Mushroom Earring from FG to replace the Chaotic Silver Earring from Guk. I found it odd that the click of the Mushroom Earring is 90AC less than the Guk earring. Should Form of Defense 1 (Currently 90AC) be in between Form of Defense (180AC) and Form of Defense 3 (270AC)? Or is it an item issue with the Mushroom earring having an incorrect click?
