The Hidden Forest

I just purchased the spell Thunder of Ice from the LDoN merchant. When I attempt to scribe the spell I get the message. "Your class can never use this Spell:Thunder of Ice"

The header of the spell reads. Mage (255) Skill 1hb

Im certainly not level 255, but I am 70.

Downloaded the latest spell files?

Yes I did that right before posting. I did a full reboot of my computer to see if that would help.

Stupid question, but you are a mage right?

Yeah, deffinitly a mage I have been having some problems with the Necro pet graphics loading. I was told it was the global file i needed to update but as far as I can see Im updated as of today. Not sure if that could be related.

Imo that can only be a bad spellfile. I checked both spell itself and the scroll and i don't see any errors here. Even compared it in the Database field for field with Chaotic Elixir which obviously works and beside the Class and Spell itself they are 100% identical.

Could you please try download the latest spellfile from the board and let me know?

No need to reboot. Just make sure you

a) quit the EQ client
b) get prompted to overwrite the existing file

p.s. saw that i overlooked to increase mana use when i added +2k base damage. That and increased cast time (from 2.0 to 4.5 secs) will go live after next reload.

I reloaded the spell file, and sadly it gives me the same response when I attempt to scirbe the spell. Oh and im happy you cought that "bug" before it got crazy.
