Level 70 Druid spell, looted in Icewell Keep.

When casting, I get this message:

Unknown spell effect 340 in spell Blessing of the Dawn (id 8012)

I have the current spell file, and it's installed correctly.

Not sure how you'd get this spell. You should be casting Dawnstrike, not Blessing of the Dawnstrike. I just checked the Scroll and it has the correct effect to "learn" on it.

The "Blessing of the Dawnstrike" spell is not accessible by any class - so not sure what is going on here.

Short - Delete the spell, you should have never gotten it in the first place.

Hmmm, it was a dropped spell in Icewell Keep, looted it yesterday (5-6-10) and it was tagged NO DROP, it was the first time I had seen it, actually.

It was named "Dawnstrike", and when I scribed it, that's how it reads in my spellbook (Tamae's) and that's how it is in my spellgem.

Delete it, eh? *sadface*

this could be spell file error
as Dawnstirke is id 8011
and Blessing of Dawn is 8012

but DB clearly shows that its 8011 on the scroll, so no idea how you could be producing 8012 effect

Because I'm special??? Um ok, I won't go that far...

Deleting the spell, then. Hopefully I can find another copy that will scribe and behave properly. It had pretty, sparkly spell effects... "OOooh....shinies!!!"

as always, I blame the SoF client =p

the blessing is the part of the spell that increases dmg of next dawnstrike, but it isnt applying it, it just throws out error.

don't worry , you won't ever you use dawnstrike anyway this spell is bugged -)
