Bash

After playing my monk to 70 it was obvious from the get-go that kick/round kic etc had their original formulas changed to be more useful. I loved it.

Unfortunately, bash didn't seem to get the same amount of love. On my SK I find him rarely (if ever) using his bash skill. It almost never stuns, and does pretty poor damage.

Any chance the damage forumula could be adjusted, or make it generate a big chunk of hate, or possibly make it a 50% chance to stun for 3 seconds.

Just something to make it worth using.

Afaik we never changed the way Bash/Kick/Roundkick works or the damage it produces. Im assuming this is really hardcoded.

How is it that round kick/flying kick etc seem to do so much more damage than on live?

Are you bashing with a shield (shield AC is used in the calc) or with the AA for 2H weapons (this uses your shoulder item AC)?

Shield, and currently I only have a 60AC (auged) shield. It seems to average about 50 damage, which compared to the 716dmg sword swing seems a bit low.

the Bash damage is level, skill and STR based, and is hardcoded.
So.. if we lower your weapon to hit for about 150, the Bash will start to look really impressive :mrgreen:

However there is a special item field called Extra Skill Damage, if we could assign Bash as such skill, it MAYBE possible to give the damage bonus to specific shield itself....
MAYBE, I never tried this property out.
Tyler, you may want to experiment with that.
