The Hidden Forest

The tests were conducted with pet summon enhancer "Minion Of Eternity", 2 Mage summoned lvl 66 flameblades and the lvl69 pet haste spell Elemental Fury.

The new mage epic pet is comparable with the lvl70 earth pet. In a duel with a level 70 beastlord pet with beastlord epic clicky, mage weapons and pet buffs both the mage epic pet and earth pet lasted near enough the same amount of time untill they were at 20% health. When healed via the 69 mage spell Renewal of Jerikor both pets appear to have roughly the same amount of health.

Epic pet was hitting for a max of 162, kick (for upto 78), bash (for upto 79) and is able to crit (284 was highest i've seen) and has what looks like an innate 200DD proc.

Level 70 earth pet hits for 131, kicks (for upto 127 damage), bash (for upto 75) is able to crit (262 was highest i've seen) and has the normal earth root innate proc.

Thanks for the summary. Mage Epic also procs 200 DD -200 resist.

Now im not sure, shouldn't the mage bet god of pets? Least better than what BL has to offer? Clue me in.

Not god of pets but a significant improvement, It shouldn't do ungodly amounts of damage, but compared to the pets we're able to summon it should be an noticable improvement in overall tanking ability and survivability.

Btw, can you test that again? I would also like to see Necro epic against Mage epic

All pets were heavily tuned since last time you did this.

Based on parses, my 70 bst pet, fully buffed, with growl of the panther on, and epic click on, does roughly 1/2 the dps that mage pet does.

I like the idea of giving BL a new pet with their 2.0 - what does the BL faction think about that?

Well, I'd like to see a weapon but at the same time, a new epic pet sounds exciting. I think I'm 50/50 on the idea Tyler.. Do what ya do best! Suprise us!
