The Hidden Forest

I just got an item that casts Brilliance of Might II today. I was so happy, running and skipping around, thinking my mage will have 10% more crits. All is well and right in the world, or so I thought. It turns out Mana Flare III and Brilliance of Might II ovewrite each other, so I can't have both on at the same time. Is this intentional or just overlooked?

Edit: Just found out today that if you have Blessing of Devotion(cleric spell haste) and Mana Flare III buffs on then casting Brilliance of Might II will overwrite both buffs(Devotion and Mana Flare)

Brilliance of Might II:
2 : Effect type : Limit: Max Level (70)
3 : Effect type : Limit: Effect(Hitpoints allowed)
5 : Effect type : Limit: Spell Type(Detrimental only)
11 : Effect type : Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed
12 : Effect type : Increase Critial Spell Chance by 10%

Blessing of Devotion:
1 : Effect type : Increase Spell Haste by 10%
2 : Effect type : Limit: Max Level (70)
3 : Effect type : Limit: Spell(Complete Healing)
4 : Effect type : Limit: Min Casting Time (3 sec)
5 : Effect type : Limit: Effect(Hitpoints allowed)
6 : Effect type : Limit: Combat Skills Not Allowed

neither spell stacks with ro's flaming familiar either. so basically they are useless to wizard. just thought i'd add that in case it wasn't intended.

So any update or feedback on this issue? intended effects or bugged?

There was a large discussion of this a while back, and now its burried somewhere on the forums.

Basically, Mana Flare and the wizards Familiar are not meant to stack. There is a +spell dmg cap though, and once you hit it via items, buffs, songs, etc then its better to use Mana Flare as a wizard.

I can't comment on Brilliance, but I know it was mentioned in that thread also.

if I'am not mistaken , brillance of might is for critical DOT spells
