conflicting timers

Orb of the Crimson Bull and Ring of the Clawed Guardian effects (CoH and defensive) appear to be on teh same cooldown timer.

Shield of the Sleeper is also on that timer and therefore also blocks the Orb of the Crimson Bull.
With a cast time of 10 seconds and a timer of 10 seconds, that seems redundant. Can we just have the timer on the Orb removed? Would solve all issues with the Orb

your answer will sound something like this: "there is a timer set aside for coh but the orb isn't on that timer.... because i said so that's why!"

Thanks Lola. I just searched as you suggested.. read a few threads and i appologise for having gone over old ground... that said, i still dont really understand why this situation exists
I was posting on behalf of my friend who plays an SK.. good class for summoning other group members due to fd etc.. he just got a nasty supprise when he launched into a fight and realised defensive wasnt available.

I think the timer should just be removed and think its petty that its not, however that being said I'll keep the orb over not having one in the game.
Not to sure but think at least the misc drops in the game with 24hour cool down were changed off the same timer as the orb.
That's a positive.
As others mentioned (RE: Orb threads), stick it on a ROG/MNK/CLR/DRU type of thing and enjoy.
