Feedback on new spellfiles - Shaman

Post#2 » Sun May 29, 2011 9:37 pm

Shaman - Testing with Kilgoran 70 Shm. I will have to edit this a couple of times possibly. I am only really testing Functionality, not stat increases(other than basic movement of stats) and such atm.

Spell list-
Healing Water - Ok
Ancient: Ancestral Calling - Ok
Chaotic Elixir - Ok
Chaotic Calling of the Ancients - Ok
Chaotic Focus - Ok
True Focus - Ok
True Regeneration - Ok
Renewal of Chaos - Ok
Vindictive Spirit - Not tested yet
Godly Conversion I, II, III IV - Seems ok minus note below
Turgurs Deadly Poison - Not tested yet
Champions Preserverence - Not tested yet
Gladiator Rk.I, II, III - Ok
Reflective Foresight I, II, III - See note below

Will work on the rest after work. /wave

~Reflective Foresight Rk.I and Rk.II - both I can cast on me, but not on others. Get "Your target is out of range, get closer!"
~Reflective Foresight Rk.III - Group buff - I can cast with no target and it will only cast on me and bot, but not pet.

~Godly conversion I, II, and III casts ok on me, bot(in and out of group), but I dont see it in the right click menus of the spell bar.

I tested druid spells and monk disciplines :

Tempest Storm Hail rk I II III : Works well so far , just to say , 1k5 dmg is ridiculous on max rank

Nature's prayer RK I II III : Works prefectly as intended ,

Needle spine I II III : Works fine , finaly a decent DS for druids .

Blazing Inferno I II II : Works as intended, pretty cool spell only bad point is 2k5 base dmg for the best druid nuke is very very very low.

MoonCurse I II III : Coolest druid spell here , problem is you can't cast it on others , it says your target is oor , can't cast group spell on other in group either. beside this point it works pretty well

Monk dps discipline

Swift strike : it's broke, it just freeze flying kick and you can't re use flying kick again

Infused Chaos I II III : Works well, consume a lot of endurance

more to come tomorow

T8 sk spells

Post#4 » Mon May 30, 2011 12:10 am

tested out the sk custom spells received from Viscu and most seemed to work fine.

the only one that i found to be broken is Grasp of Death.
Whatever its recourse is supposed to be it is flagged as detrimental (is my guess) so i kept resisting it.

I am unsure what Seething Anger is supposed to be. It's in the power tap category but provides no recourse.

Chaotic poison does the same amount of damage as true disease. I dunno if that's intentional or not.

Those are all the notes i can come up with :)

@ Argonas:
- Chaotic Poison is not a T8 Spell.. might have never been put into a scroll version, dunno honestly.
- Seething Anger is just a single cast Hate spell. Moved to the magic nuke category.
- Grasp of Death is a lifetap spell that has a 20% chance of casting a AE hate spell on all npcs near you. I fixed the issue and the caster should no longer get hit by the spell as well.

@ Firenze:
- For Tempest Storm, are you saying the damage is to low? or what?
- Remember for Blazing Inferno, it has a % chance to cast a 10% spell vulnerabilty recourse. Which will increase ALL spell damage to the npc by 10%.
- Moon Curse will now cast on other correctly, had a range set of 0.
- I'll look into Swift Strike, prolly messed up a value somewhere.
- The endurance costs are for all melee classes. You also have a new disc that regenerates 3400 endurance every tic for like 3 mins or something like that.

@ Zolzimar:
- Reflective Foresight has been fixed, range was set to 0.
- Godly Conversion fixed also, will be added to Avatar right click menu.

Note: These changes may not be on test yet, but they have been fixed. Thanks for the feedback, keep it coming!

Ah i see. then things make more sense Vaion. Also lemme state that Grasp of Death's ae hate recourse seemed to be triggering every cast.

-Tempest storm base dmg is 1500 . the level 66 rain spell for druid is 1k2. 300 dmg update for a T8 rk 3 spell is a bit low I think. even if druids don't use rains much.

-Blazing inferno is nice because of the proc on it , but considering the casting time of this spell, the procc won't have much effect when killing trash mobs. if you have to cast it 3 or 4 time to trigger the proc, then mobs will prolly be dead by the time it proccs. thats why I said a little more base dmg on this one would be great and not game breaking.

- Moon curse , yep range was at 0, only way to cast it on other was to coh them :)

- Endurance costs is great as he is now, and the endurance regen discipline seem to work well

Spell list-
Reflective Foresight Rk. I, II, III - Ok, but see note belowVindictive Spirit - Ok
Turgur's Deadly Poison - Ok, But see note below
Gladiator Rk. I, II, III - Works ok, See Note Below
Champions Preserverence - See Note Below
Spiritual Touch Rk. I, II, III - See note below
Spirit of the Lion I, II, III - Meh, see notes below lol
Ancestral Focus Rk. I, II, III - Ok, but see note
Spiritual Sacrifice Rk. I, II, III - Ok

~Turgur's Deadly Poison and Vindictive Spirit - spellbar menu should have Vindictive Spirit on top, Turgur's Deadly Poison second, and Hungry Plague third.. the rest of that slow list looks ok.

~Reflective Forsight Rk I II III - Right Click spellbar menu is ok, except I think Rk. III belongs on top, Rk. II second, and Rk.I should be 3rd.

~Gladiator Rk. I, II, III - I cant find it on the right click spell bar menus.

~Champions Preserverence - Its ok, but recast time is 60 seconds. Not a big issue, but not sure I see the point of the long recast. When you load it, I assume the recast timer is active, therefore you have to wait a min before you can use it. On right click spellbar menu, Champions Preserverence should be above Champion.

~Spiritual Touch Rk. I, II, and III ~ looks good, but I cast it till i got the HoT and the icon stays in buff box flipping from 18 seconds left to 12, then back to 18, repeat infinately. Also right click spellbar menu I think is off for Heal. I suggest..
Spiritual Touch Rk. III
Spiritual Touch Rk. II
Spiritual Touch Rk. I
True Regeneration (This spell could use a different name like True Mending)
Ancient: Wilslik's Mending
Yoppa's Mending.. rest of the list looks ok

~Ancestral Focus Rk, I, II, III - When looking at the right click buff menu from spell bar, I see Talisman of Wunshi at the top, which is obviously a lesser spell. Also, Ancestral Focus line is below Chaotic Focus and True Focus. Personally I look at the list top down, so even the group buffs of some of the others are below the single cast buffs. For the heck of it, heres the list as I think it should be.
Ancestral Focus Rk. III
Ancestral Focus Rk. II
Ancestral Focus Rk. I
True Focus
Chaotic Focus
Talisman of Wunshi
Wunshi's Focusing
The rest of the list looks like it fits the same pattern as I have above.

~Spirit of the Lion Rk. I, II, III - Spellbar menu Utility Beneficial/Combat Innates should have Rk. III on top, II, second, I third. Also... My shammy is wearing Mask of the Dragon Slayer with Improved Damage III on it. Description says it will increase dmg of spells up to 60. This Lion spell is 70, and I would assume it should only be enhanced by the proper level Improved Damage Focus Effect.

~~ After looking at the heals mana/heal amounts, I really think a few things are out of wack. Personally I dont have a preference whether or not the spell is a solid possible heal amount, or 'healing between 740 and 1255' type of heal, but... the low end of chloroblast(lvl 55) for instance, 740, is less than Healing water(lvl 46) 800 hp heal. Also on chloroblast, the high number 1255, isnt too bad, with lvl58 Kraggs mending 1950 heal, and Kraggs salve(lvl50) 815-1000 heal. Anyhow, Im sure you really dont want to get into tweaking every little thing, but I figured since I was looking at it, and you were in there, Id bring it up.

~~~ After looking at Conversion spells, I thought I would get rough stats of these, so order of spellbar menu could be looked at. They all have cast time of 2.5 seconds, and the numbers following the spell names are Hp lost/mana gained. My mana gained amount will be off some due to natural standing mana regen and eyeballs looking up at screen for first number, lookin down to write it down while it casts, then up to see what number is there after cast.. this is just a rough reference for hp/mana for the listing..
70-Spiritual Sacrifice III 3000hp/1865m
70-Spiritual Sacrifice II 2500hp/1515m
70-Spiritual Sacrifice I 2300hp/1215m
70-Chaotic Calling of the Ancients 2000/1015
70-Ancient Ancestral Calling 1085HP/684M
68-Pained Memory 668hp/360m
65-Ancient Chaotic Pain 668hp/347m
58-Cannibalization IV 148hp/82m
@ Zolzimar:
- I can't rearrange how the spells look in the right click menu, only which menu they appear in.
- Spirit of the Lion is a new Panther type spell. It allows you to proc a damage DD. All procs are affected by any level focus. So a level 60 focus will still affect this.
@ Firenze:
- Tempest storm got a small boost: new values are 1601/1782/2012
- Blazing Inferno got a small boost: New values are 2482/2534/2678, also the cast time was reduced down to 6.5s/6s/5.5s
@ Argonas:
- The chance to cast has been fixed. Had it set to 200% rather than 20. Also the issue with it hitting the caster has been fixed as well (missed one small change last time).
I looked at the warrior disciplines. They all seem to work ok, although Enraged Scowl's Proc doesnt seem to do much that I could see. Maybe someone else can get a better feel for it.
I counted 22 scribed discs in the text window, and could only find 18 that were obviously new. I assume the other 4 were scattered in the list below the new 70 ones?
