Resists

I'm noticing a huge difference in resists on my wizard, bloodmage strike which is -500 chromatic is getting resisted approximately 20-25% of the time where as before it was almost never resisted (5-10% maybe)... Just wanted to post to see if something got changed intentionally / unintentionally / bug in the system etc..
On a side note, insidious harvest rk 1 is also not working atm

Yes I also noticed the resistant difference with my wizy he is getting resisted more on his t8 spells and twin casted spells and am lucky if MF3 even lands dont have bloodmage but warlock is almost always resisted now as well not sure were the change came from but something was changed for my wizy didnt have this many resists before. Even noticed that my bard song harmony of sound (lowers mobs resists) that I have never seen resisted on any mob at least not more then once when the song is looped onto the mob never lands on t8 mobs and I let it loop for a bit and watched everyone get resisted sadly.

My guess would be something with the new code change, had no issues before that... then a huge change of resists, i don't think i'd ever seen bloodmage resist... with a -500 chromatic... a mob would basically have to be spell immune for that to not land, and it's not landing more than the 20-25% i guesstimated before, went thru ds and even trash was resisting this regularly

why I hate code revisions. For every goody it brings it breaks so many things because the main project desires to be like live and 9/10 of the servers desire to be custom.

Hmm, seems like all the posters are wizards.
Do a few tests with your familiar (Allegiant/Devoted Familiar) summoned, and a few with it unsummoned. The familiar provides a bonus to effective caster level, which (previously) helped mitigate enemy resistance.
If there's no difference between resistance rates with or without the familiar, then a recent code change finally made ECL apply to fizzle rates only, and this might be the reason for the sudden resistance issues.

had my donor wiz familiar up for it, havent tested without it.
blique(nec) said he wasn't noticing many changes for resists, but all wiz spells are getting resisted more, chaotic detonation which is -500 is getting resisted and i'd never seen it resisted until now.

Yea the insta casts are definately getting resisted like crazy in hoh like 3 out of 5 shots resisted or more and tons more MF3 resists.
Insidious harvest, i get it to work sometimes and sometimes it doesnt. Gonna see if maybe MF3 might be preventing it from working cause I almost always keep it up and when it works might have worn off.
Side note, the wiz insta cast spells, if they fizzle, your spells are locked uncastable until that spells recast duration has expired.

The resist issue with these spells has been found and fixed. Will go live with tomorrow's reboot. Also the recourse effects from the instant cast wizard spells were fixed as well (they were 100% resistible).

Problem has been fixed, thanks for this Vaion, wizards can continue to nuke the mob and not just get mad about not landing anything and resort to cussing at their comp
