I traditionally play a druid but I decided to put together a multi-box group and used a shaman instead. Upon hitting 70 I start gathering my spells and noticed the shaman gets absolutely no useful damage spells compared to the other classes. The 2 DoT's I use at 70 are on par with "live" at same level however the other casters get damage spells which on "live" are in the level 90-95 range... is that intentional or just an oversight?
Shaman:
Blood of Yoppa ~ 450/tick (exactly the same as live... lvl 70)
Druid:
Death Swarm Rk. I ~ 1400/tick (equivalent live spell = sunscorch lvl 94 ~ 1450/tick)
True Vengeance ~ 1250/tick (equivalent live spell = Horde of Vespids Rk. III lvl 93 ~ 1252/tick)
Enchanter:
Euphoric Noose Rk. I ~ 2650 + 1650/tick (equivalent live spell = Mind Spiral Rk. I lvl 95 ~ 1748/tick)
The RK III version doesn't even have a live version equivalent
Mage:
Bolt of Flaming Stone Rk. I ~ 6300 (equivalent live spell = Burning Sands Rk. II lvl 93 ~ 6365)
Wizard:
Gelid Strike Rk. I ~ 7407 (equivalent live spell = Freezing Snap lvl 88 ~ 7220)
Flame Blaze Rk. I ~ 7482 (equivalent live spell = Flashpyre lvl 89 ~ 7220)
Storm Strike Rk. I ~ 7100 (equivalent live spell = Lightning Helix lvl 88 ~ 7313)
Even the cleric DD spell is equivalent to the lvl 77 live version, I recalled shaman being the kings of DoT's hanging in there with druids but this is rather disappointing, I may have to reroll a druid and work it all the way to 70 to fill the role I thought my shaman was going to perform.
How about getting the missing spells added? would this be a possibility? The 2 DoT's used at 70 are the level 69 curse and level 70 blood spells.
keeping in line with the druid... the shaman lvl 95 Poison DoT is
Naeya Blood Rk. I ~ 1653/tick
Naeya Blood Rk. II ~ 1736/tick
Naeya Blood Rk. III ~ 1823/tick
other options may be the lvl 94 DoT's which seem more diverse than the 95 ironically...
Nectar of Sholoth Rk. I-III ~ 2035 - 2244/tick
Vengeance of Sholoth Rk. I-III ~ 4538 - 5003/tick (only lasts 2 ticks)
Stranglefang's Venom Rk. I-III ~ 4415-4868 instant + 1545-1704/tick (2 ticks)
Anyways, the spell files seem to get updated fairly often. What's the chance of shaman's getting a little of the love the other casters enjoy?
