Scent of Mastery / Druid Donor

Scent of Mastery is now overwriting the druid donor (2.0) debuff Fury of Nature. I'm assuming it's because they both decrease fire resists, but the donor weapon is only 200, while scent is 250.

Scent of Mastery reduced down to 180 decrease so that the Druid Donor will take precedence as before.

I have a feeling every necro on the server hates me now.

Kinda lol, Scent of Mastery was boosted from 150 to 250 (+100 which was great and made it useful and interesting to cast) and now it's 150 to 180 (+30)...which is *coughs* very little boost that won't drastically change the usefullness of that spell I'd say.
Well, every boost is nice but after your post, which was justified, that spell is more or less back to the state he was in before (concerning the amount of resist he will lower). However, since his resist check got lowered in first place too, that's nice...

I guess you would only have to worry about the scent over writting if you had a druid in the raid that has a donor. That was kinda a high hope for the necro and then a let down.

-180 is still an incredible debuff. Especially considering it's purchased from a vendor for like what? 5kpp?

Nobody will deny the fact that it's a nice spell Melkor :) Especially if it's resist check had been lowered so it can land more often than before. We only said that your point, which was true (donor item must always stay at the top), made the improvements that had just be done, reduced a LOT. And I think that Tantianne just said that your point that it was overwritting druid donor was not such a big deal.
In a raid, when you have a druid, well, he can cast his donor and necro don't cast their scent of mastery, which is not a big problem. Mob has got his resists lowered and all the other advantage of the druid donor.
But when you don't have a druid donor and only a necro, then the necro becomes useful because he can lower the resists by 250, which is huge. That was indeed something that necros were longing for.

Now, with that upgrade being "tuned down" by your point, which was true again, druid will still have their donor used in raid because it's useful for so many class and necro will remain the same, but necro will be far less interesting in a raid without any druid because they will just lower resists by a slightly bigger ammount.

That's it :)
I do think too, that necro could have lived with the idea that they mustn't cast their scent of mastery when druid donor is running. Now they have to live with the idea that their scent of mastery is just a bit better than before, instead of being really a big + in a raid, just because some people don't think they can't refrain themselves from casting a spell when a druid donor is there.

P.S : I don't think that its price is a matter here. It's an interesting spell, if you don't have a donor druid running around now, so it must be bought.
