Euphoric Mist AoE hitting the caster

Euphoric Mist Rk. I-III have a chance to trigger an aoe mez around the caster:

Right now it hits the caster and locks me down for 10 seconds - makes things interesting!

yeah its because all general AOEs hit the players (even their own) - you standing to close to the target

I like to melee my mez targets before casting - you know, to keep them off of the tank! I have to get right up in there

Therein lies the dilemma, though. As awesome of an effect as this is (to aoe mez a cluster of mobs) - it actually doesn't on Seravince. I always mez one and another comes running at me. In lieu of that, AoE around the target isn't so useful, AND it mezzes little old me because the second one is beating me down. I'd rather AoE around the caster and not have to try to resist a -500 Magic spell =)
