We are back up!

And here we are again!

First of all, I would like to appologize for our web services being down and for the lack of communication during the last few days. The THF web services are back online and fully functional now.
Here is our content changelog and you can read about the last few days more detailed a bit further below.
- QUEST: The new AURA quests are basically done, Vaion will post some hints about it soon.
- SPELL: New Gather mana spell line were introduced:
-- Gather Mana: 10K mana
-- Improved Gather Mana I: 20K mana
-- Improved Gather Mana II: 30K mana (soon ingame)
-- Improved Gather Mana III: 40K mana (soon ingame)
- SERVER CODE: The server code was updated several times, so now we should run even more smooth and stable.
- SERVER CODE: your tells will be queued while the recipient is zoning and will be delivered once he finished zoning (cool feature, thanks Zeiksz
)
- SERVER CODE: 30K+ HP will now show up properly after zoning.
- and minor fixes I can't really recall.

And here is the story of the last few days in more details. One can tell we were extremely busy. Our plan was to:
- set up the new server hardware
- move THF to the new hardware (from the actual live server where THF runs now)
- move the new server to a data center
- move the web services to the actual live server (from an old host machine)
This was the plan, and this is what happened mean time:
The old machine running the forums and all web services died. The HDD crashed and never booted up anymore. You remember the minor forum rollback from a few days before? This is when it started. I was hoping we can do the migration as planned, but the old host pc decided to give up on us. Backups from that day were damaged due to bad sectors and once the hdd passed out, we realized that we have no other option left but to restore from a weekly backup, so we lost a few posts and forum registrations but this is basically the only bad news.
Please re-register on the forum if your registration is missing (last 8 days or so). Send Tyler a PM for forum group membership of guild sub forum creation request.
So this is what we did in the last few days and will do in the near future.
- we had to restore the forum along with 2 other databases (wiki, THF ls) and move them to the actual live server - done
(you should experience improvement with the web services)
- we had to edit endless setting, fix issues, set up environment, test the new portal and so on.. - done
- mean time the new server hardware setup is 99% done, basically only testing left (it's connected to our login server)
- the new server hardware will be moved to a data center (eta next week)
Now to make everyone confident, this incident not likely to happen ever again, since both our servers are now professional IBM servers, providing stable and failure tolerant background. HDDs are running in raid 1 set, we run backups daily, and save them to different locations (even different countries) and so on. You can check out the details of our hardware background: here.
