The Hidden Forest server

We came a long way, THF is almost 3 years old (this May). We thought that starting a new year could be a good time to see and share where we came from and were we are heading to. I believe this is the most interesting news update since day 0 so if you got some spare time, please read. 
First of all, here are some statistics about THF.

o 375,435 Visits
o 3,227,001 Pageviews
o Visits from 111 countries (top 10 below)
o Total forum posts 38,211
o Total forum topics 6,391

THF game server
o 26,247 accounts were created

o THF had 15 team members so far, 3-5 are constantly active.
o 163,065 tasks were completed (quests are not included!!)

Interesting facts
o The game server killed 4 HDs (3 of them were Solid State Drives)
o Vaion learned 4 different computer languages (seriously, lol)
o Languages spoken by Micah: 5
o Lillu's online time: 800+ days
o 573 change-log were posted since day 0
o Lillu's heart attacks due to server crashes: 4+
o In the last 3 years, Lillu talked to Mikuz more than to his own family
o Since THF has started, team members had 3 RL babies born and one is on his way. <3
o Worst DPS on the server: Firenze (we love him regardless)
o The most mysterious person in THF history: Striat
o Mikuz, Lillu and Micah are coffee fanatics
o Lillu got 9477 PMs..
o The most slacker: Tyler (the blame Tyler week is not over yet!)
o Most common complaint: "I gave my ____ to my pet, can i get a reimbursement??"

Now about our plans
Custom content: As always, lots of custom content is under development. More group and raid zones, exciting quests and lots of overall improvements. We plan to polish and extend the custom content with new parallel zones to each Tier starting from level 1, including a secret Kunark expansion (Vaion™).
Server hardware: For several reasons (including this horrible SSD fault rate we had lately), we have decided to upgrade our server hardware and improve the overall hardware background quality, redundancy and performance. This means we'll buy a brand new IBM System x3550 M3 server. The new server will be rack mountable, giving us the possibility to move it to a world class datacenter (even better than the current one) where it will host the THF services exclusively. The current live server will become our new home for development, backup solutions, database replication and possibly our web site and forums.
All of this should happen in the upcoming weeks so please stay tuned, we'll post updates continuously as we work out everything.
