Regarding my Spellbot and its many users

Firstly, please do not take this as an insult to intelligence nor character, it is not meant as one.
Secondly, it is not an attack on GMs, nor your views, simply a showing of my own views.
Thirdly, I have been a GM/Coder/Staffer on various online games over the years, so please do not thing I am simply tossing aside your point of view as admin, I simply think this ruling needs alteration.

Some background on me...
I do not break rules, I am one to push the limits of them, but do not break them. Through the pushing of rules, over the years, I have had many rewritten in a more appropriate manner, when they either were phrased improperly, or simply stifled an honest player unfairly.

Some info on the bot.
I created this bot to benefit the community, because when I was just starting out on the server, I was met by nothing but kindness, and assistance. I even was given a super nice item (for a low, or even high level player), Dragon Skull Faceguard. I was level 2, and that nuke was absolutely insane to be able to use and level with. I wanted to give something back, but was not uber enough to have such good items to simply give away, and I am still not uber enough to do such a thing. So my plan was to give back with a spell bot, I can cast spells that will aid new players, such as a DS, Haste, and KEI even. I also was filling a huge gap in the buffing of Sune, by her inability to buff a pet or a bot, unless it was a box'd bot able to say "Buff".

Some info on the continued usage of my bot.
I was initially confronted upon creation of my bot to stop it from announcing over OOC. I understood, apologized, and immediately removed that function. Players rejoiced that they could continue getting DS's, Hastes, and KEI.
I then came to add Rune and Godly Pet Bags to the mix of castables, the latter of which was added to stop all of the begging for it over OOC, because it was available whenever a player may need it, unlike those that have been making them in the past, who only drop like 5. First come, first serve never seems fair.
Every time I disconnect from my internet or computer being dumb, I am immediately greeted with "Thank God you're back" from at least 3 players.

If the popular vote of the masses supports this, I feel that a spellbot should be allowed, especially for the fact that it works on pets and bots, unlike Sune. Even more so because there is NO personal gain that comes out of it, I do not get XP, Levels, AA's, nor elite gear. But the benefit resides solely in the community's ability to level, and play at a higher pace through a simple casting of spells.
Now you COULD argue that I do get a benefit from it, because it accepts donations. However I have accumulated a total of 7.5kpp from donations total. If I were to farm in a zone, I am told I could make 10 times that in a few hours, so this cannot be seen as a gain, it is absolutely NOT required for the bot to work. I only added that option because people would try to give platinum often, and want to "pay it back" for my help. But I can even turn that off if you desire that I gain nothing at all from the bot, as that would be completely understandable.

I am sure that many would chime in on the benefits the bot has given them, and the ability to get from 1-30 in a half hour, and even up to 70 in about 6 hours. I have, as it currently stands about 15 people that are all asking for spells, which I am manually casting, because I want to aide the community, no matter what.

So please see that the best intentions, and actions on my behalf have been taken. There has been no "Abuse" of AFK Macroing, as per the rules. Simply a THF-wide benefit that has been removed from the game.

*Leaving with a little bow, Veneficius awaits the decision of the All Powerful Gods*

I'm not a GM, so take this with a grain of salt, but I'm fairly certain they'll tell you that no AFK macroing means no AFK macroing, regardless of whether you gain anything from it personally.

Then again I haven't heard of/seen the bot so I'm not entirely sure how it functions.

Considering I have used his bot on many occasions i feel i should chime in and say thank you for all the buffs and pet toys. They have helped me tremendously. I'm fine with whatever decisions our great GM's make. I just hope you are able to continue doing it.

Best of luck

I just joined the sever and this guy has been extremely helpful. He went out of his way to code something to be beneficial to all players on the sever. I dont think this is something we should punish him for. Please reconsider the ban on him.

Moved to 3rd Party Programs section as this bot is being run with a 3rd party program. Please read server rules about 3rd Party programs and their discussion over other forums besides the correct one.

We also asked you that if you had any disagreements to contact us in game in tells or over PM, not to create any type of drama or get other players involved in this.

we told you it was fine to run the bot while you were not sleeping and AFK; otherwise it is a violation of the server rules as this is AFK Macroing, no matter how you look at it.

Your response was that other people use AFK MAcros; I asked you to report such if you were aware of any player using AFK macroing.

So please, let's not try to bend the rules too much and no run AFK macros :)

There is no "punishment" ... punishment in this server is a suspension or a ban. Hence talking to him and figuring out the best way to use this bot while not breaking the rules is not "punishment".

Guys, if there's a gap in buffed spells, or the lack of functionality with Sune, you can make a post about it and we'll consider to extend her spell set and/or her functionality. We are always open for suggestions from the community. But please understand, there are also spells we don't want to provide (on purpose) from buff bots and that includes Sune.

AFK macroing is against or server rules, whatever it is. In this case, we don't want AFK players sitting near Sune or as a matter of fact anywhere else to buff players and shouting or ooc every 5 mins. For that, we have Sune, who we love, and don't want her to be forgotten!

I only used the bot a few times but it was a nice little perk if you needed it.

I'm not really sure how the bot is any different different from Sune though. It had a few extra buffs but I don't see how it really disrupts gameplay in any way. If you needed the buffs/pet weapons Veneficius gave, you could usually get them by asking in OOC. It isn't like camps were being taken or it was hindering other players.

Hope the GM's change their mind about this as I don't think it really hurts the server but actually is a benefit.

That's exactly the point, player interaction..
