Can you modify ingame macros outside of game?

Hopefully an easy answer here, but the hotkeys you create in game - can you modify them outside of game with notepad/etc? There are a lot of good macros around and I don't want to go full automated, but the game doesn't seem to support cut/paste?

You can do both of the things you talked about.

First, in your main EQ folder (for the server) do a search for the character name. You'll find files that look like Charactername_HiddenForest.ini Those files contain the hotkeys you've created and are fully editable in notepad.

Second, you can copy/paste in-game. Options > Keys > UI > Paste from Clipboard. Assign a key or combo of keys (like Ctrl + V) and you can paste text you've copied from outside the game.
