Newbie trying to install MQ2

I haven't played in years but still have the same install. I use the THF patcher to open my game. I recently tried installing MQ2 for the first time and it gets stuck on "Waiting for connections on port: 2112...". Never recognized when I get into game.

I've searched these forums and tried the same things. I'm using the ROFv2 version of MQ2 because my THF launcher says type: Rain of Fear V2 (otherwise I certainly wouldn't remember what client I'm using).

I've tried editing the MQ2eqbc.ini to use my IPv4 address instead of the default. I've tried port forwarding that port. I made sure to open EQBCserver.exe before opening MacroQuest2.exe before opening the THF launcher.

Anyone happen to have any ideas? Is it ok to use the THF launcher to open each EQ client? Looks like the launcher replaced the everquest.exe so not sure what to do otherwise.

The "Waiting for connections on port: 2112..." i assume that is what you see in the actual EQBC window.
If so it basically just means that it waits connections from Clients.
I assume you just don't have the Eqbcs plugin loaded in MQ2.

Ty! your comment lead me in the right direction. I had to right click EQBCserver.exe and MacroQuest2.exe and run as administrator.
