Silly question I likely know the answer to is no...

...but is there some sort of app/code that can get clients to share data with each other instead of each downloading their own independent stream from the server? I tether my cell as my net connection for when I'm gaming (out in the sticks, no access to cable/dsl) which has plenty of bandwidth to do online gaming (a lil under 1mb down) and the latency isn't super horrible (200ish); but I get throttled once I hit that 5gb mark every month down to near dial-up speeds (6-7kb/s) which makes boxing impossible, seeing as each client consumes about 4-5kb/s in heavy raid conditions or zones that have 200+ mobs that are constantly pathing.

It's just a dream of mine to have one client share it's zone data (pathing, hp, hits, etc.) with the other boxes so as to conserve my monthly data limit, which I usually hit about 2/3 through the month doing nothing but EQ -_- Would really like to box more than 3 toons, as I have donor items on a few more (purchased when I was drunk :P) that I'd like to add into the fray.

(prepares himself for the "NO")

sadly I don't think that is possible man.
I mean MQ2NetBots shares info between clients on EQBC if:

Code: Select all

HiddenForest_MyName.ini
[MQ2NetHeal]
Stat=1
Grab=1
Send=1
[MQ2NetBots]
Stat=1
Grab=1
Send=1
[MQ2NetWorst]
Watch=1
[MQ2NetCure]
Watch=1

But server is going to send X data to every client that it thinks should receive it.
What tether service do you use?
I use PDANet for android/IsuckPhone and a one time payment of like 10bucks unlocked the full service which makes it pretty awesome. Granted I grandfathered in the Unlimited data package through verizon. I picked up a android phone the first day those suckers went on the market, had no idea, just needed a new phone, and I picked the unlimited data for an extra $10 a month.
I use PDANet because verizonsuck decided to make tethering a premium service that you have to pay extra for now. /gofux to that I say.

Yup, I bought the full PDAnet ;) Was well worth it. (though I hear if you use one of the original versions of the software you can use the full service for free as well, but shrug.)

Haven't updated the app in a while, because the newest version blocks wifi hotspot if you use a verizon phone (which mine is :P).

But yeah, I figured some kind of workaround with clients sharing one client's data was a pipe dream (pun intended), but worth a shot.
