EQBC

I'll start with the fact that i've been away from THF for a while now but I decided to come back and play again. I used to box 6 toons on 2 comps using MQ2 and EQBCS. Now everything is working on my laptop (It hasn't been touched so everything was still on it) but my desktop i've deleted some stuff on it. When I try to log into my EQBC server in game on my desktop it just says could not connect. Now i'm not sure if I deleted any of my mq2 stuff or not so my question would be how do I find out what i'm missing or if i'm missing anything?

Are you telling your desktop to connect to the correct server?

Example..

Laptop IP is 192.168.1.2 which has the server I assume.

Desktop IP is 192.168.1.3.

You launch MQ2 on the laptop everything comes up and is fine in game. Desktop can not connect because it is looking for EQBC on the desktop. So you do /bccmd connect 192.168.1.2 to tell the desk top MQ client to connect to the server on the laptop.

If that doesn't work and you can ping your laptop from your desk top then you have a port setting or blocked issue in your OS.

You need to look for your mq2eqbc.ini file in your mq2 folder. Open the file and make sure you have the correct ip address in there.

If you don't know how to get your ip addresses, search for cmd in your windows start menu (assuming you are using windows). When the DOS window opens type ipconfig. Your ip address will be there.

I have the correct IP. I used my desktop to get everything started back before I quit but now i'm not sure what I have and/or don't have. I checked the mq2eqbc.ini file and it's the right ip address so i'm not sure what to do.

Try running the program as an administrator.

Check your firewall too, needs to be open to port 2112 (i think) or just add eqbc.exe as an exception in the firewall rules.

Right click on the exe icon and click properties. There should be an option near the bottom to run as an administrator. When you open the program from then on you will get a message asking you if it's OK for the program to make changes to your computer. Just say yes

Running as an administrator was the last thing I had to do in order to get mine to work
