My normal macro to send my pet and other melee works fine in most sittuations, however today in VP on both silverwing and Nexona when the adds came out my other dps would switch targets when i did and hit the macro however the necro pet would just stay on the boss. Wasnt much of an issue with Nexona since his adds dont have much HP. But caused major issues on silverwing since im 6 boxing it with a single tank. I had silverwing down to %30 with only 2 adds out of the 3 entire sets i had on me plus boss dead.

Not sure if the macros not working because the necros out of range hid behind a wall or something, though he always attacks the boss when i send him, just wont switch to adds. Any ideas? Im not even gunna attempt phara dar untill i can figure out whats keeping him off the adds

Without the /pet focus aa (which is broken, currently afaik), pets will switch to whatever target is dealing them the most damage/debuffs. Think of it as aggro'ing your pet. Things that can aggro a pet, pulling them away from your intended target include, but are not limited to:

1. Rampage damage
2. AoE damage/debuffs/knockback
3. Root proximity causing them to tank a mob

For Silverwing and Nexona, you are definitely seeing them switch targets due to numbers 1 and 2. My recommendation? Regularly refresh their target with your pet attack macro (which must include /pet hold before you issue the new attack), OR what I did when I was working my way through VP was burn bosses then adds. Depends upon your group makeup. Silverwing is definitely the most difficult to burn, imo.

Yeah i figured id end up going for a full burn. Right now i use sk, bard, ranger, cleric, shaman, necro. Ill sit the shaman out and use a second tank for him and see how it goes. Sk was fine untill i had 3 sets of adds plus boss on me.

Thanks. I made seperate pet hold pet attack macro. Made the fight trivial. The full burn method wasnt wlrking to well trying to keep 2 tanks positioned with that knock back
