Actually I already know, but I wan't noone to burn minds till the needs are known. Nor would I do work "just for my own self".

Good vs ..the other folks?(what do you mean 'other folks') Sounds fun. Another progression line with roleplay character guilded automatically by which race/deity you stand for. Would be tough to get enough folks for live battles, but... I can see the top guild leaders being on different sides, commanding assaults against eachother, the wax and wane of players involved on one side or another determining who was prevailing any given hour. Chosen cities guards raid type encouters where just a few defending players can help hold their city safe with some strategy. Same basic equipment available through drops and quests for each side, leaving strategy to be the deciding factor in even odds battles...

Way too many possibilities to set up for some interesting weekend events.

I have plans of making use of old continent, the cities, where good games can be played. No details, because I must check client limitations first (what is sure: client can not chance target because of servercode, so the "taunting mobs" thing will not work - so this will be taken off from advanced mob ai).

My questions above and in other polls are about to see the active players' and forumers' needs - that is why I was writing, that I will not code for self-entertainment.

If you want I can give details, but I would not shot all bullets before I am sure things can be implemented server-client side.

When i first started playing EQ in beta ~ god what 10.5 years ago now? I was immediately drawn in by the depth and immersion of the game. Granted no other game had really attempted to create something as vast as McQuaid and the EQ team had, but it was still an amazing throw back to my days of DnDing with friends in 2nd edition. (god im a nerd)

That said i would LOVE to see some content which made use of the old world more, involved the cities and its denizens more than we already do. Running into Qeynos for the first time was still such an amazing experience for me id love to see it someone repeated/duplicated.

The human cities in EQ were always interesting - as someone who did every 'quest' and hailed every npc, and read every bit of lore i could, i always enjoyed the multiple inter-twining factions and rivalries going on.

It would be rather interesting to see a replay of some of those factions - perhaps involving quests where u can pick or chose antonious bale vs the necros/sks, or in FP take the pallies and Nfreeport vs the rest of FP and the Evil classes there.

Theres alot of lore to be used - and considering its all a custom server lot of different ways you can twist already existing factions and what not.

Wouldnt mind seeing faction used more on this server - or even more emphasis on some of the old world - so much of EQ to me was just getting around, and while i will never scoff at the ability to port whre i need to go, i think some travel would be awesome (all also things that can be used in Alt-p too i suppose - always had more of a Roleplay/oldschool feel in alt-p.)
