BOT and Character naming issues.

Hello, im relatively new to the server, i just started out 1 day ago, and only just started playing EQ for about a week now so im pretty new to everything Ive ran into an issue with the bots however, and character naming in general.

Ive made some characters and bots for those characters, however, not liking the characters themselves, i decided to delete the bots, then the characters, figuring i could just remake the bots and characters with the same names, as different classes/races etc.

Well, it seems im not able to, im not able to even use the same names at all for new characters, or for bots. Is there a way i can fix this? or will i be forced to think of new names? It would be a real bummer since some of the names i use i use regularly and are some of my more favorite character names :\

Welcome to THF! Fresh blood is always good, especially people who never played EQ before as your views of things differ completely and give us old farts s new perspective.

Now to your question - i know that Striat implemented a feature that will not allow you to give a Bot a name that is already in use by a player (prevent grief and crashes). Maybe this has some sort of sideeffects. For now it's save to just come up with some new names for both your toons and your bots.

Can you please post the names of your deleted Toons and your Bots and we can check in the Database.
