Greetings. I am new to the server, and to eqemu. Enjoyed playing the server after a long break and 7 years on 'live'

My question is.. bots.. how do you get them, and can you control spells ( say limit a shm to heals or a clr to stuns). I have read the posts here and didnt notice an answeer to either.

There is a NPC in the forest who has all the information you will need about bots (forget the npc's name but it has bot in the name and is in the same room area as the porters).

As for forcing bots to cast only certain spells during combat, there is no way to accomplish this. As bots are stupid little bots, and wouldnt understand such things as tactics

There is however a temporary "#bot rebuff" command to force the bot to buff you again if it does not. The rest of the commands bots have to offer will be explained by the said Npc...

In addition, the command "#bot help create" will give all the necessary numbers for creating specific races and classes. I think that the game says to use "#bot create help" which doesn't work.

Twinken is the NPC and his text needs some lovin, since some bot command got updated, etc with the newest rev/bot system.

Was on Veeshan for along time.. in 2nd best guild under FoH for a long time.. guild self destructed so moved to FV and played game out there. Even did some guiding on The Nameless server.. Wandered around the mmo scene alot.. but still ended up back in eq, but did not like what live ended up as.. and in a discussion with an RL friend he suggested eqemu.
So far (only 20's mind you) my impression is, if soe took some notice about how to task/quest/exp newbies through the game, like you folks have done..they would have an active community on live still.

Exactly how I got involved with eqemu.. and how this erver was born. that friend btw was Tyler
