When will caster bots be fixed?

Can a admin please explain why the caster bots constantly recast the last spell they cast? This is not present on other servers, and not present in the current server code/database.

I enjoy and admire the work you've done on this custom server, so I'm just curious as to your take on the whole issue. Please respond with any information that may bring this issue further from the dark.

Thanks.

When will caster bots be fixed?

You have a lvl 19 character on THF. Is this post serious or just a trolling? If this meant to be a bug report, could you please be a bit more specific when you report and "issue". Client version, character name, class, level, combat situation, spells being recasted, how to reproduce the issue, etc.

Thanks.

Sorry, I was not trolling. I just thought this was a known issue on this server with the bots. Below I will explain further and give all information that I can.

Titanium client, current character is level 20 Iksar Monk. (But this problem showed up earlier in my leveling.)

I can confirm the following behavior as of level 19 and 20:

1. Cleric Bot. Buffs normally. Then after all buffs are done, the cleric bot starts casting a spell over and over again. The spell text is "Clerics body is covered with a soft glow". This appears to be Celestial Remedy, if you haven't changed the spell levels in the database. You can reproduce this just by standing anywhere, spawn the cleric bot, invite to group, then wait.

2. Shaman Bot. Buffs normally. Then after all buffs are done starts casting some sort of health or heal spell over and over. (I'll have to get more info, but I assume this is what ever level 19 (or lower) shaman heal is.)

3. Druid Bot. At level 19 and 20 was not showing any abnormalities as far as healing itself.

I'm not positive when the cleric bot started showing this behavior, but I will recreate a new character and gather further information. Also, I have not had time to test any other spell casting bots who heal, such as paladin or ranger.

If you require more information I will gladly do my part to comply.
Thanks again.

Further information compiled:

1. Started new character, warrior. Create cleric bot, halfling.

2. No odd behavior from cleric until level 5. This is when the cleric will start healing itself for no apparent reason.

3. Specifically, from level 1 to 10, the cleric only displayed this behavior out of combat. During combat the bot responded as expected.

4. The bot never re-casts heal on me for no reason. It's almost as if the bot doesn't know it's at full HitPoints.

Hope this further information helps.

That's exactly what the problem is. The sad fact of the matter is, there is no real fix, as the bots (from what I understand, could be wrong) are designed to go into a loop while "inactive" regardless. Once your bot gets gear and higher level buffs it is an irrelevant issue as it doesn't run oom standing there healing itself.

A GM could probably explain it better, as they have access to the actual code.

There are a number of things wrong with bots right now... Heal classes healing themselve needlessly, Int casters being completely useless, Melee's having stupidly high DPS if played right, etc, etc.

The issue is just that, "When" will it be fixed. There are a number of other projects that are being worked on daily for the server. I am still going through numerous old quests/code to rewrite portions to help reduce the number of crashes and lag that players are experiencing. Are the bots on my to-do list? Yes, they have been for awhile now. And i will get to them as able. I know its frustrating, and aggervating, but good things come with time, right?
