Sorry, but this must be at your end guys. 300+ active players on THF, daily, and there is no connection issue at all for the 99%.

I would suggest to start the troubleshooting at your end.

Aesop wrote:I actually had a similar problem on SoA for a while - if that helps solve the mystery at all. Something changed it's not happening as much but still very frequently, my playstyle has changed though lol - I zone as little as possible.

I also never had a problem on VZ/TZ or a multitude of other servers I've played on. Everything is shut down in game Tyler, my game looks like a bag of smashed ... well nevermind the game looks bad lol. I tried updating the VGA driver (honestly not even sure what that means) and the site told me not to bother or something because I was using windows 7.

I can't reinstall windows until my other brother brings me the disc, I would gladly revert back to XP but my son finally destroyed that disc.

Well not sure what you mean with a bag of smashed but could be that your graphic card might die .... .
Also not sure if you did Virus/Spyware/Malware check ups.

Another option could be that someone takeing your whole bandwith without you knowing.

Also if you believe its only this server i suggest try to see if maybe you have now on the other servers the same problem.

I am going to try the following, maybe it will help.

Also, p1999 also has a thread about crashing while zoning.

bump since according to ooc many more people other than me seem to be having this problem -- once again just hoping to find a common thread among all of us and hoping to find and fix the problem.

Recently there was 2-3 weeks where I had almost no problem - yes I would DC on zones but it would be 1/4 toons instead of 4/4 and it wasn't every zone. Unfortunately I don't keep track of anything pretty much and couldn't give you any dates but my ISP and machine have been consistent throughout.

I don't mind too much, I just stay in one zone anyhow. Although I did take advantage of those few weeks and did a ton of LDoN when I didn't DC on every zone lol.

I used to have this problem quite rampantly with my 6 accounts. At least 2 would crash EVERY time I would first log in. Same thing after death, and while zoning all 6 at once.

Then my hard drive crashed, and I decided to build a new system. It's a major upgrade than what I was running before. Now, I can load up all 6 at the same time and zone all 6 at the same time, and have yet to have a single crash since I put together this new box.

I don't know if this has anything to do with the built in ethernet card on this better mobo, or if it's the faster cpu, or the better GPU. I'm also running windows 7 64-bit which makes better use of the available RAM, which could be a factor. Hopefully, this may help narrow the cause down to simple client side issues.

Seems to me your problem might be random packetloss while zoning, if this occurs during zoning theres a good chanse you will disconnect..

If you are connected through wifi try turning off wireless zero configuration, just hit windows key + r and type services.msc. WZC will search for new AP's every min or so causing ping burst and packet loss.

Also try windows key + r and type cmd. Do a ping <URL> /t and give it 5-10min. See if theres any unusual jumps in MS or if there is any packet loss.
