If I update my files to play this?

Hey all, I'm a frequent user of Project 1999 and I wanted to give this server a try after reading a bit. I only have one question left. If I do update these files to play on this server. Then will P99 still work properly?

P99 and THF dont get along at all....best way is to have 2 installs in different folders, and have seperate updates

Indeed, best bet is to do as follows:

Step 1:Completely remove your current Everquest installation, making sure you delete the Everquest folder when you are done (sometimes the removal doesn't fully delete everything).

Step 2:Install Everquest to your hard drive.

Step 3:Locate the Everquest directory, make a copy of the Everquest directory, then rename copy of Everquest to something like TheHiddenForest.
Note:You will want to do the same if you plan on playing on P99, make another copy and rename it Project99. You want to make sure you always have the default installation availble.

Step 4:Follow the directions to play, making sure you apply all changes to TheHiddenForest directory we created in the previous step.

The above works great, although I found once you play here you wouldnt want to go back to P1999

Yea, I was playing on 99, had an enchanter - server went down, forget why, and came here to fill time, cuz a friend had told me about it - havent been back since

lol Amen guys. I was playing on P99 and wanted to get a couple RL friends on there. In the meantime they got eqemu running and logged into THF instead. Friend calls me up "hey this new server is neat, you should check it out." Needless to say I've never returned to P99 lol.
