Question on Fresh HoT Install

I just downloaded and installed the HoT client from Akkas Fun House. I have downloaded and ran the THF Installer (correct version) and copy/pasted the newest spell file into my HoT EQ folder. When I log into the game, it appears nothing has been imported. I have human models showing and my spell book contains other classes spells, etc.

Does this have to do with the client I downloaded from the link on Akka's? Have I completely missed a step in getting this to work?

This is the same approach I used when setting my up Titanium clients and those work fine.

i think THF installer overwrites HOTT.
Nevertheless, i did not reinstall it as i have leadership HOTT.

Make sure you are loading up from the correct EQ folder. If you put in the correct spell files/animation files then it should be working fine.

Is that client OEM? If so, you may need to update the install with live files from a current trial acct install as well as manually copy certain Titanium files as detailed in the UF install procedure at eqemulator wiki.

If it is supposed to be pre-patched, no clue...

As always take ownership of your game folder or run as administrator.

Vaion nailed it. I had the incorrect path in my shortcut. I must not have applied my changes when I first created it, which is why I never thought to look there. Thanks for the tips all!
