just a stupid Leveling question and 1 Lore Question

Hi,

I appreciate if you don't laugh - i am very new to EQ.

When i killed the first wolf in Unrest - BAM - i was lvl 4. then the next mob (something looking like a big dwarven ghost) - BAM - Lvl 5.
Ok i thought, maybe i am just wrong (powerleveling area or something similar, wiki said it's new unique zone)
So I moved to Crushbone, so next mob was an orc and again - BAM - Lvl 6.
Alrighty, next orc has not granted me a levelup but it was eerie thitherto.
It was a very long fight over around 3 mins and he didnt kill me, i stayed at last 70 % health.

I never leveled 5 times within few minutes, so i just wanted to ask here in the forum, if I am mislead or are there powerleveling areas and normal areas.
I haven't found anything related in the wiki, just the zone chart with more zones (Paineel + Warrens) related to 1-30, which Trixy doesn't offer.

I hope you don't make fun of me of this silly question, it's just a "WTF?" moment and i am confused.


Oh and now to my Lore Question: i have read about walking on the Moon Luclin.
I searched the zone chart, but it's not included.
I have "Underfoot" from Steam, can i walk on the moon?

Oh, and if I may insert another question:
My health is unstable, i regularly loose 12-13% for no reason.
Do you know this effect? I am human rogue.
I don have any buffs at all - that's eerie...

in no specific order:

-the fast XP in low levels is normal - mobs are gimp and xp is set to like x3. It will slow down after you hit lev 20 or so. =)

-the wiki only lists zones that have been customized with new loot and quests. any zones not listed are "as normal", and there are a few that locked for development
There SHOULD BE a universal zone teleporter fairy that should take you to the Moon - nexus, shar vahl, etc

-Paineel/Warrens/Stonebrunt/Gloomdeep - are part of alternative progression path, its MUCH more slower XP wise but questing/crafting intense . It lasts up to lev 45-50, after which you can return to main progression (you need to have brand new lev 1 char to enter it)

-Your health going up and down (or possible only down) could be related to:
a) you don't have all the necessary files (specifically THF CUSTOM spell file)
b) some minor incompatibilities with UF client (MAYBE)

oh, hm.
yeah, this herald has said something about giving the queen items.
but when i 'give' her the charm and the emblem, i'll get them back!
i wonder what i am doing wrong...

i have downloaded 2012.01.26.spells_us.zip from the homepage
i did a backup and overwrote the original file
are there other files i probably missed?
or maybe a stance or something like that? (but i see no buff/aura icon)

to get into Alt-P you need:

-level 1 char
-give The Herald 2 charms - the one you start with and the one from the Queen - you will get ported to Paineel and get the starting charm back

you can read more on the Alt-P in ist own forum section below.


No idea on the files though... Health up down could also be related to client server sync thing. SoF+ client show your char having more HP that this server uses. Perhaps the client is trying to "heal" you, but then server reminds it that you went above the cap, and set you back down.

Alt-P is old style gaming - you have to find your quests on your own - explore your surrounds and talk to npcs
may want to read through Alternative Progression section of the forum too.
