Can't get to server select screen

Hello all -

I got a copy of UF and used the THF patcher to log in and I can get as far as the login screen but I cannot get to the server selection screen at all. It times out and shows the live version of Server Downtime message.

I've updated my eqhost and made sure the THF was in the file it's supposed to be in and eqhost is 5999, ran as an administrator and still no dice - any ideas from here?

I'll add that I can still access the game via my THFPatcher attached to my Titanium client file.

So connecting to the server with Titanium client works, but if you try with you UF client, you can't even access the login screen?

Could you post the content of your eqhost file please?

I can get to the screen to put in my account name and password - once I put in those and hit connect it takes awhile then comes up with a message saying unable to connect "Server Maintenance" or downtime something to that effect.

eqhost.exe has -

[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5999

To try it out I put it as 5998 as well and no dice there either.

Are you trying to connect with a THF account or eqemu account?

I've used both routes - I started with the THF updater and it appeared to DL and install ALL missing UF files and recognizes I'm using the UF client but does the EXACT SAME THING as using the eqgame.exe patchme or eqgame.exe "patchme".

I've tried running as administrator but I have not changed the compatibility mode of using a different service pack.

The patcher does not patch UF files. TBH, I'm a bit lost with this issue. I think there are a few confusion here and there.

lastly, check your firewall settings/network setup. Something might simply block communication with the login servers.

I have followed both guides to a T - I don't see any specific UF specific files listed, is that a eqemulator site file? What firewall setting should I look at bear in mind that running THF Patcher through a Titanium client works fine but running THF Patcher through UF client DOES NOT.

Hi there, I've you doubt you tried a ton of different things. I have a pretty good idea what's going on with your login troubles, but I have a few questions that need answering just to be certain:

[1] What is the path to the folder that holds your UF installation? Mine is C:\everquest\
[2] What is the path to THFDownloader.exe that you are using?
[3] What do the full contents of eqhost.txt look like for your Titanium client? And then eqhost.txt for your Underfoot client?
[4] I believe you registered a login account with eqemulator.org - is that correct?
