DSK3 and your pets

Hi All,

I recently tried DSK3 and have a couple donor pets, plus Sune vembraces for buffs
It seems like the pets constantly get right on top of the bosses there (especially Maestro) and get immediate aggro.
Is this intended?

It happens in other areas too just not as constantly.

It's been a while since I've been in there, but I never noticed any issues with pets and DSK3 mobs.

Do you happen to have your pet guarding one spot with /pet guard ? I noticed any just about everyzone that my pets do that he i have them guarding a spot. When they guard a spot they pop under the world between atking and coming back to the spot.

Sounds like a movement speed issue. Generally, if pets have Selos or any buff with > 100% movement speed, then they overshoot their max melee range position when sent in to attack and usually stop on top of the mob. if the mob is rooted that means they tank it. My best advice is to either to stop selos before combat or to back them off for a second or two and resend them back in when they're about at their intended melee range. That is, of course, if movement speed is the issue. Hope that helps!

Ps the fastest movement speed buff that I've found can be safely used on pets is moon curse.

What i do is i have /pet hold before my /pet attack line so if they get right on the mob you can rehit atk and they back up and attack again.

OK those are both great ideas.
I will try the pet hold right before the attack and see if that helps.

Thanks for the advice everyone.
