Hi I'm missing Misty Thicket Files from the Rof2_THF folder , before anyone says run the downloader i cant as i have to run the eqgame.exe patchme ... If any one would be kind enough to send me the relevant files it would be most helpful as i have 6 stuck chr`s .

Thanks Paul .

Either way the patcher won't replace non-custom files so that won't help. You'll need the missing/corrupted files from another source indeed. Mean time you should be able to use the stuck character mover to be able to play.

I'm still stuck on what the root software problem is...but if things go badly wrong software-wise, its easy enough to:

1) go to the EQ folder
2) change the file view to Details
3) alphabetize the file TYPE column so that all the files listed as being configuration files are in in one easy location
4) drag all the configuration files to a separate folder...perhaps to a new folder on your desktop
5) delete the rest of the EQ files
6) re-download and re-install EQ as per the THF website instructions
6) put the configuration files back into your newly installed EQ.

If there was any corruption in those config files, then you can sorta cherry-pick removing them back out. Any config file that EQ needs but can't find will be remade, but naturally it will only have default settings within it. It will not have any of the settings that you have modified during game play. For example, you might have to rearrange the window locations of a toon, or redo the spell bar or hot buttons. You will not lose any items as inventory info is stored on the server.
