Problem reaching Defense skill cap ?

Hello everyone,

I am trying to max Adon's Defense, as it is important even to a caster. The skill tab says the max is 260 for a caster and I am at 155. I kept hitting the defensive training dummy all night long, 8 hours or so, but didn't get a single increase.

Same applies to Dodge. I am at 195/255 but didn't increase either.

Also, 1HB is listed as cap at 255, I am at 200 and neither did I get one more skill point.

Are the caps listed in the skill tab from Inventory UI wrong ?

I did,however, got skill points when using 2HB and piercing, where I am below 200. But the skill tab says 255 max.
