well, the point is to have a clean install. If you uninstall it, the directory might stay there and contain custom files, exactely the ones you want to get rid of. Try to install it to a completly new folder, let's say Everquest_SoF.

If you use the uninstall function of a lot of programs it usually don't fully remove everything related of the Program so usually you still will have a folder here and there with leftovers.

What i usually with EQ do and which shouldn't cause any problems is I double check in case i am not sure where the folder is and delete it instead of uninstalling after that i will reinstall EQ on the same location.

I re-installed with a different folder name and it works... Sorry I had a long weekend and couldn't get to it earlier! Thanks for the help Lillu (and others). Everthing is working perfectly now!

The uninstaller doing a crappy job jumped to my mind too while reading the topic, don't blame yourself, blame uninstallers that don't do their job and stupidly leave files added/modified later (like config files, patches, expansions & DLCs, so many possibilities really)

Sigh, tried the same but still not working. Im using the Titanium version and a fresh install did not solve it.
Does anyone know which files to replace?

Btw, i dont have any P1999 files as I did not play Live.

Some of my spell icons (gems) are not showing details, only the background color (as example all red or purple). Also, some of the spell icons in my spell book are all red, no details either only the red square.

I have check the eq folder and subfolders for any p1999 names, found nothing.

I have made a fresh installation, by uninstall and complete deleting of files. I have even installed on another computer. Same result.

I have updated the GlobalLoad, Spell_us and theobbj (sp?) files to most recent ones. I have only used the files for Titanium not SoD.

You most probably tried to reinstall EQ to a new directory (different name, not the original one) I'm guessing? If so, it seems like you have done everything properly. Yet all I can say, this is typically a patched/altered client issue according to your description and screenshot too.
If you did everything as described, my guess would be that the installation files are altered and it isn't an original Titanium client. Other than that, I'm out of ideas.

Is it only a few files and if so, does anyone know the name of files sp I can copy them into my directory?

Otherwise I need to find a new Titanium version...or live with the colors
