The Hidden Forest

I've spent a little time searching for an all inclusive beginners guide to the server. Since THF has been around for awhile I figured there would be a sticky somewhere. I haven't played EQ since PoP and now I'm getting back into it with 2 others. Things like augments, bots, special AAs, and all these fancy things are completely new to me. I know I can research many of it via google search. I saw guides on augments, bots, and some macro program on the forums but nothing really basic.

One thing I thought that was really cool was the quest log! Though once I closed it I couldn't figure out how to reopen it... though I was only paying 10% attention to EQ while I talked with my wife and little one.

Am I completely missing a getting started guide or should I start composing something to help other newbies out?

Are a couple of good posts I can think of. Might be helpful to you if you have not seen them. Other then that i don't think there are any specific post that say it all. Maybe you can wright something up too.

Thank you so much for that quick response. The Considering Playing EQ post was extremely helpful and got me excited to log in and get to things. I'll try to keep a log of things as I wander around and attempt to post a getting started guide.

you can also use http://www.jaburt.com/eq/eq_commands.htm for chat commands.. you might run into a few that dont work for this server but otherwise a good collection of stuff
