What does Packrat AA do exactly?

So Im a monk and my weight is a serious problem. Despite opting for lighter gear and sacrificing stats, my weight is still over the limit at 31. I bought a couple levels of packrat hoping it would lower my worn weight, but it doesnt seem to have done that each time. I thought maybe if i zoned or something, but doesnt seem so.

I read on forums -- not these -- that packrat lowered worn weight and that's why i bought it. Obviously bag weight is meaningless with the multitude of great bags available.

So thats my question -- What does Packrat AA do on THF?

Thanks.

Can't answer about packrat but check #mystats not your inventory for correct ac hp etc. Weight shouldn't be affecting anything. What client do you use?

Packrat is suppose to reduce the weight of the stuff in your inventory, think bags only though. Thats from memory so could be wrong.
Now as a monk weight matters because unless THF customized its source in that area, the default value is actually lower then it should be. IE you can't carry as much as you think you can and retain the monks special bonuses (avoidance, etc).

Vaion would have to comment on the values used here as THF source is highly customized.

Weight matters at least on my UF inventory screen. My weight over around 28 lowers my AC.

Aye, i actually have all no tae ew bags. Every pound i weigh comes from my worn armor. I had to forgo the better stat glowing armor from stillmoon simply because the weight was not worth it. I even keep my inventoried clickies in bags to drop the extra weight.

Again, you need to be looking at #mystats for a correct AC value, not your UI window.

See this thread for a little more discussion on the monk weight topic:

Well its a good thing then. Sucks having to worry about weight on a monk.
