I am missing some files as I learned when a kind person buffed me and i started to be knocked unconscious repeatedly until I clicked off some buffs. I cannot use the patcher cuz its a .exe and I play on a Mac. Is there another way to get the files manually? I use Wine to play the game but I cant get it to do anything with the patcher.

The only fix for this if you rebuild your own wine version with a compatible EQ client that is patched with latest THF custom files. This is however not the best solution since you would have to rebuild wine every time a new patch is out.

What I would suggest is setting up Parallels desktop and a Win7 on your mac, you could set EQ up on your Win7 and just run the THF patcher every time you start the game, keeping it up to date. I have a work MacBook pro and I do this, it works flawless.

will the files for xp work? aren't they the same files that the Patcher downloads?

so there's no zip file i can manually DL and install myself? If not, my time on THF may have come to a premature end. There is no way I can make a whole new wine setup each patch and running windows parallels isnt an option for me for several reasons. Damn.

download the windows XP files, they are .zip format...

Unfortunately this will be an issue for you with any eqemu servers then. :/

Aye the Windows XP files are exactly the same as those that are on the patcher. Any time the patcher is updated, the .zip files are updated as well.
