Mend companion question...

Im trying to figure out what aa to buy for my pet as a mage next. I see mend companion and it doesnt look bad.
But i was wondering, is it a set number of HP's? Because if it is, and it's more "classic eq" like, then i was thinking it might only heal a trivial amount of HP considering that on THF the pets have vastly more hp.
I couldnt find it in the spell search either.
Thanks.

Halfway down the thread.
thank you vaion.
i found the following:
Mend Companion: Will now restore up to 50% of the pet's life instantly.
Replenish Companion Rank I: Will now restore up to 60% of the pet's life instantly.
Replenish Companion Rank II: Will now restore up to 75% of the pet's life instantly.
Replenish Companion Rank III: Will now restore up to 100% of the pet's life instantly.
This way it is balance across the board no matter what pet you are using.

I'd honestly get those AAs last. They're nice to have, but not really essential. You have spells that can heal your pet and are very nice (tactics one is 10k heal without focus, right?), you don't have spells that /pet hold and /pet focus (100% essential), group buff thingy (95% essential, group heals/buffs are at least half of what keep the lil guys alive), flurry (pretty important for DPS), etc.

thanks for the input.
i already got the flurry and pet upgrades. so far i have 175 aa's. i even got spell crits. and really i seem to be grasping at meh upgrades at this point. i saw that pet focus thing, but wasnt really sure if i would even use it.
what group buff thingy are you talking about? (if MGB then why? as i only have group DS.)

The Group buff AA also allows your pet to get buffs from Sun, which depending on what other class's you play or your play style can be a BIG bonus for pet surviving.

The AA that allows your pet to receive group buffs (I forget the name... it's on the middle tab I think) > Pet dps aa's >* imo. Then mage survival ones (CA/CS) etc.
After that, knowing how you use your mage, the rest are w/e you so choose to use. On my mages I use mend companion occasionally, primarily if i'm maining them for whatever reason. Prior to having automation, shared health + mend was nice.
Now, I generally only use it if the pet is very low and I don't foresee myself being able to heal the pet w/ my cleric via direct/group heals because of how much I'm healing my tank or other chars.
Hope that helps.

Pet affinity, first thing I'm going for on my pet classes.

I have found Mend to be of little use under heavy work. I would definitely save up for affinity.
