So I have looked around and have found a couple global drops that may go with the quest but my biggest question is where does the quest start? I mean I have read through posts and looked round but no info, no clues, no context, no lore nothing.

P.S: If you dont have something creditable to say please refrain from replying

No one has it figured out yet. Quest is brand new.

As someone who is currently over halfway done, I can tell you this: The Book of Marr is the world drop that basically tells you who you need to speak to.

The entire quest so far has been more of a scavenger hunt than merely a quest. If you aren't prepared to spend hours combing through randoms zones searching for seemingly non-existent NPCs and camp mobs for 12 hours or more (been on the same step 11 hours killing same mobs trying to get 4 drops atm) then waiting for someone to post a walk through is probably more up your alley.

The quest is riddled with vagueness is the best way to describe it. You even reach a point where you get little to no chat links. I have sat there attempting to find the key words to say to progress the quest for 5-10 minutes even, heh.

I'm not trying trying to discourage you, but if you're not up for a TON of frustration, you may want to wait.

Hehe yep, very frustrating to camp for hours and get nothing from the mobs :)
You have to do like Borda said. Go through every zones you think of and try to find new mobs that doesn't sound familiar.
That's what everybody who hasnt really started that quest (and I am not sure we are many yet) have done.

Koolness thanks for the info I got 2 days off work coming up so I am gonna farm my heart out then =) I honestly think the global loot idea is a great idea just from what I read and hear the drop rate is terrible =)

haha nothing is as terrible as 5% drop on mobs that need to give you 4 different ones, believe me :)

I disagree, nothing is as terrible as spending several hours searching every zone on the map for an NPC... Then realizing you must have missed one somewhere, because you have not found her! :) But, I suppose if it was easy... There wouldn't be a sense of accomplishment!

Even if i'm stuck at work wondering what zones to look in first when I get home! ;D

Yes! And please don't take my above comment as a complaint. =)

My fondest memories of EQ include doing the original pally epics... And there was foul language and frustration abound, but that's part of the charm!! It makes the reward far more rewarding. =]
