Hi all,

I currently have a 70 Paladin/Cleric duo, with a Rogue bot for DPS. I'm planning to add a third character to box to help with progression, and I'm trying to decide between running a mage, beastlord, or bard. I'd love any thoughts/opinions on which would be the better choice for my setup.

I don't have a lot of playtime, but I hope to work on epic quests and progress through a few tiers if I can.

Personal preference, Mage or necro I prefer caster dps. Whichever you prefer. As for pet dps it will be about the same assuming no donor, if you donor out the mage pet will end up doing more than a necro. but the necro dots/taps will generally out dps the mages nukes and make it more balanced

Mag/Nec would be a great addition for the dual pet/caster dps, as Nilbus already mentioned.

The Bard might not be a bad addition, though it wouldn't bring much dps-wise. The ability to pac pull (Fading Memories is > Cleric) could make some progression much easier as a 3-box. Added regen and resists are nice as well before you're maxed out on stats. And I would be remiss in not mentioning the overhaste, ~40% (depending on version) v2 haste is nothing to scoff at.

I'm not sure Beastlord would be the optimal choice for your setup. However, they've always been one of my favorite classes. Weenie slows, more spell weapon proc slots, decent dps... you can always justify it to yourself if you really want...
