Wizard's Manaburn

It's been a loooong time since I played my wizard on test server back during Luclin and PoP, but recently got the urge to soup one up to add DPS to my crew.

Had some theorycrafting going on in my head at work and had some questions regarding MB.

Does it work in conjunction with wizard breastplate?

Wizard breastplate increases damage, makes spells cost no mana, makes spells cause no agro, and 100% chance to twincast <-- Does manaburn gain all of these benefits in addition to the focus effect adding another 150% damage?.. The whole thing with manaburn is that it drains all of your mana right?.. Seems like the breastplate making it cost nothing would be pretty crazy / awesome. If not, I guess I could get a donor bracer for recharging mana :) Another sweet thing would be if it twincast.. is that possible?

I'll be able to answer this on my own soon, but figured I'd toss this out there to see if anyone has experience with it to save me the trial testing runs :p .. That, and when this idea popped into my head while at work, unable to play, I wanted an answer! Pretty exciting idea to me.. Let's hope it isn't exempt from the BP powerups :)

manaburn is an AA so the 0 mana cost thing won't apply to it. Using this AA will indeed drain all your mana.
The % dmg of manaburn has been increased some time ago now and the bp will also boost it. I believe that item clicks like Quest Ring or any power potential item will also increase the dps of it.
Having a mana bracer, or any other mana item will indeed make your wiz able to nuke again shortly after burning.
Twin cast doesn't affect it as far as I remember for the simple reason that click items aren't affected by it; and since mana burn is a click thing, I guess it doesn't apply.

aww, sort of a bummer ;) .. but not all bad. Still a fun skill in a wizard's arsenal. Thanks for the reply!

ive been at work the padt few nights (14 hour shifts).. so i havnt had time to play and test it myself.. Last time i was logged in, I had JUST plucked my wizard BP / Legs / Weapon / augs out of the bank, and didn't even get a chance to test them out :)

Can't wait till morning!

the combo bp/leggs/weapon (take donor2 over one) is awesome. Havent tested the aug with a wiz so no idea, but I would have taken mana bracer. The only insta mana recovery item is from Zenurix in HoH so you might need to wait before getting it. Others are between 10 and 15s casting time.

don't make the mistake of buying 2 mana bracers :p Friend bought two of them, thinking he could then use both but it's not the case
