Installation Issue

Hi!

Had p99 working but didn't like it; I reinstalled titanium and downloaded the THF patcher. Once I hit "Play!" the screen begins to load (goes black) but then I get the error:

"Error in XML
Error in your GUI XML files. Check UIErrors.txt."

Any help with this? Sorry if the answer is already elsewhere on EqEmu/here; I couldn't find it.

Edit: I seemed to get this to work by simply transfering the THFdownload patcher into my eq folder instead of letting it browse for my exe file. However, now when I log in with my account (this forum account?) it perpetually has me "logging into server."

Am I missing any other steps!? Thanks!

Are using the private login server or the eqemu one? If you are using the private server, make sure you create a login account here: webtools/account/registration.php.
Also make sure your eqhost.txt is set to:
[LoginServer]
Host=login.thehiddenforest.org:5998

I assume you followed http://www.thehiddenforest.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1763 to the letter also, which includes the above info?

Got it working and really like the server! Had to change the eqhost file (didn't check as thought the patcher would change that).

Thanks for the quick replies, one other question (sorry for so many!):

Is there another way around changing the resolution? Don't see the same txt in the eq client doc and going through the options from the login screen doesn't seem to do anything either.

Use the in-game display options for more options. It's EQ Button > Options > Display tab and you can control video mode, windowed, refresh rates, etc.

Ingame is usually the way I adjust to match desktop also.
