I'm not sure if this is the proper forum to ask a question like this, or if strategy seeking is frowned upon or what?.. But our crew tried him together today and ran into problemos~
We read the wiki for him and were under the impression that we had to keep all 5 of the mobs within 10% health of each other, but there must be something a bit more complex than that concerning the mechanism.
We began by having each tank establish agro - The NW spawn was not tanked initially because it does not summon. I would then call out "DPS to 95%", and we did so, calling out when our targets reached 95%, and when all of them did, I would then call "DPS to 90%", rinse repeat.
Per the wiki's indication, we all felt 5% increments as described would do the trick, but every time somewhere around the 90% health mark, we would get a moderate damage AE, a few adds spawn from each portal, and all 5 of the main mobs health would reset to 99%, with an emote saying something along the lines of "the energy released is bolstering mortal beings".. (i didn't catch a screenshot of it; just going by memory)
A few thigns to note.. No one in the raid had died at any point during the first few rounds of getting to ~90% and having the health reset happen. We definitely did not ever reach any point where one mob was 10% or more health difference from any other (At worst, I'd say our biggest gap was possibly 6-7%). And also, after getting this above result a couple times, we tried to put a tank on the non summoning mob to see if it made a difference, but it did not seem to.
We went for a good half hour or so, trying what came to mind, but no real differences were noted. Seemed like DPS to 90% --> reset, over and over. My initial thought was that he was doing an AE lifetap + add spawns just as part of the encounter and we would need to simply out-DPS it, but there was no steady interval to the life reset. It happened around the 90% life mark regardless of how long it took us to get there.
So there we have it. Stumped Denizens.. *shakes fists at the heavens* Damn you Vaion !
Like I said, any tips, tricks, or fully detailed plans with maps, pie charts, and recommendations (lol) would be fully welcomed!
Hope everyone is well!

(ugh, Previewed the post and I'm obviously cursed with being overly wordy, sorry for the TL:DR'ness for basically a simple strat help request
