Vasella Fireblood

Looking for any advice on the Vasella fight in DSK3. I understand the mechanics with the adds (I think), but the biggest issue we're running into now is the AoE from the boss. I assumed when someone was summoned, run them away and you were clear. But the AOE keeps going off and wiping out a group regardless of our positioning. Any and all help is appreciated!

That event is the hardest of all
Much less now with the patch I assume
All is about positionning adds/Vassela not too far one to the other and deal with the adds. And about HER ae, well, the ritual she is doing is during the whole fight. As another hint, I will just tell you that she prefers to remain alone to discuss with the MT so she gets angry if someone else is disturbing the rendez vous for too long
Now it's on you to find a way to make it happen
Trust me if I tell you that even after killing it like 30 times, this is the fight I fear the most, alone or not. And I prefer to do it alone since the window for mistakes is really tight (yet FAR bigger than before patch).
You have all you need to kill her now. Rest of the bosses are easier script wise (though Khas will take you a bit at first).

Didn't want to spoil too much since it's also nice to figure out some parts of the awesome (who said sick?) scripts that Vaion has created in his darkest moments. But concerning that event, even when you know the strat, it's not too easy to make it perfect.

I've tried her by myself a couple times, so I perked my ears up for this thread, but have no clue what Sian is talking about :/ ... Colic needs to hook me up with the l33t stratz.
Only outcome I've had is engaging, trying to pull away adds somewhere out of sight and dying miserably to some god awful AE in the process. I didn't get anywhere with it.
