Characters Losing Life % Without Any Debuffs

Wanted to post this while it was actually happening; I'm assuming a character a death may clear the issue (which I'm fine with fixing it that way, just wanted to report it 
)
My character Kahal is slowly losing life as he sits in any zone. He'll tick to 0% then flop over and continuously get hit by "Pain and suffering" but never actually die. He has no debuffs, I've cast any cure I can, used Sune cures, and completed relogged the character and his health is still ticking away. I can heal him and throw a regen to counter it, just seems like an odd bug.
Only thing I can think of is I was in Vex Thal yesterday and he does not have the full character flags from DSK3 to counter the zone-wide debuff. I'm thinking maybe that debuff is still sticking to him outside of the zone even though it should have cleared.
