d3dx9_30 not found

Hi All,

After a few years out I've reinstalled and tried to connect, however I'm getting the above .dll is not installed message.
I've done a search on the forums and tried both posts it found, which were essentially the same, downloading and installing this file.

However I have done so and I've put it into the C:\Windows\System32 folder, is this correct?

The System folder is pretty much empty and search does not find any other d3 files in any other folder.

I'm running Windows 10, any ideas please?

* edit *
Just to give a bit more information - I'm using the Underfoot client downloaded from the New Player Guide. I do have the discs for Titanium but every time i play on that client it makes my screen brighter, which is annoying, and it seems the only way to revert back is to reboot.

Thanks

Download and install the whole DirectX 9.0c runtime.

This package only works up to Windows XP, but I'll try and find another for Win10.
Thanks.

I managed to get it working just by installing my Titanium copy onto the C: Drive, although I did try using the same drive as Windows before, maybe the installation rather than copying files made a difference.

The installation may have installed that d3dx9 driver it was missing, you may try using Underfoot again now and see if it still complains. If you can, i would try to use the UF client. It is better in everyway vs titanium.

I did try again but it just went back to that same error. Oh well I'll just crack on with this.
Cheers

You could try to ask someone you trust to just send you that individual file and copy it over to your windows folder. I would not recommend to download it from a random host though, could be potentially virus infected!

I downloaded the runtime (june2010) thingy from Microsoft which includes everything. I did try copying it to C:\Windows\System32 but I had the same error. Strangely, I just did a search for this file and it's not found on my C: Drive and yet Titanium is quite happy to run, so I'll leave it as that.

What are the main differences between Titanium and Underfoot? I customize UI so that's not important.

Also Lillu i tried messaging one of the Admins about account recovery but it's sat in my Outbox, rather than Sent Items. Has it gone through? Doesn't seem like it ?
According to the FAQ there should be a "contact us" link but I can't seem to find it (even with CTRL+F so I don't think I'm being blind :) ).

AFAIK the file should be in C:\Windows\ folder, not C:\Windows\system32\. You might want to try that. It's worth to switch to the UF client.

As for the PM. When you send a private message it will stay in your Outbox folder until the recipient reads it. Once the message is read by the recipient it will move to the Sent Items folder. It's a bit weird but this is how most of the forum software work.
