Go to your class trainer and train 'Blacksmithing' to 21 using your skill training points.

Go to Plane of Valor and Farm up 200 Air-Infused Spring Water off of trash mobs.

Go to Greater Faydark and find the Jewelcraft Merchant and buy 200 Embossed Sketches.

Go to Abysmal Sea and buy 20 small pieces of ore and a file mold from the ogre vendors far north west corner building from zone in.

Go south from the ogres until you hit the baking building with Davy Curves in it.
Buy 10 Water Flask.

Craft Metal Bits x1.
Craft File x1.

Buy 200 Rubicite Ore from the Ogre vendor that you got the small pieces of ore from.

Lookup 'Embossed Rubicite Arrowhead' in your forge search window, save this recipe.

Craft Embossed Rubicite Arrowhead x200.

Total Skillups for the first 200 combines vary from 114 to 139 so far.

Rinse and repeat until you are 305 Blacksmithing skill.



You can stop at 255 if you just want to make Kael armor out of Icewell Keep drops.
(Note: At current skill rates this will take more than 1000 Air-Infused Spring Water)

Thanks to Bresham for suggesting the arrowhead recipe.


Tested again on Rawrs, Starting at 21 Blacksmithing skill from the trainer and using 500 Combines (1000pp in sketches and ore)

Net result was 21-179 Blacksmithing skill
1000pp Spent
300pp In Arrowheads Created

700pp total spent.

Retested Method from Scratch with 500 total combines to start.

If you continue this process through to include fletching, you make a tidy profit. I used 400 waters and made 10k pp (25pp per water). I also, however, started with 252 smithing skill, but no fletching skill.

Tested from scratch with 938 waters, after all was said and done:


-21-224 skill.

-spent about 2k plat on items

-made about 1.8k plat back selling the arrow heads.

all in all this is still the easiest tradeskill on server

Yeah, I use this simple path myself, except i hit PoKnowledge and do banded until about 115(sheets of metal are sold, gorget then helm then bp, water vendor is nearby), then go after rubicite arrow heads. Also, you only need to visit the vale or guildhall tradeskill merchant for rubicite materials. Those vendors carry the sketches and rubicite. Air infused water seems to drop best in valor.
